1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Relevant Compliance platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including administrators, company owners, and team members.

2. Description of Service

Relevant Compliance provides a cloud-based compliance management platform that helps organizations organize, track, and prove compliance with cybersecurity frameworks including FTC Safeguards, CMMC, Texas Safe Harbor (TDPSA), and others. The Service includes:

  • Compliance surveys and assessments
  • AI-powered document analysis and recommendations
  • Remediation tracking and assignment
  • Compliance scoring and reporting
  • Document management and storage

3. Accounts & Access

  • You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) is required for all accounts.
  • One license is issued per location, not per person.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Share your account credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Use the Service to store data unrelated to compliance management

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, content, design, and branding, is the property of Relevant Compliance and is protected by intellectual property laws. Patent Pending. You retain ownership of all data and documents you upload to the platform.

6. AI-Powered Features

Our AI features provide recommendations and analysis to assist with compliance. Important limitations:

  • AI suggestions are recommendations, not definitive compliance determinations.
  • You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated recommendations.
  • AI analysis is based on the documents you provide and may not capture all compliance requirements.
  • Relevant Compliance is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

7. Data Ownership & Privacy

You retain full ownership of your data. We process your data solely to provide the Service. Our use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy. We implement PII scrubbing capabilities to help protect sensitive information in uploaded documents.

8. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors beyond our control.

9. Payment Terms

  • Fees are based on your selected plan and are billed as agreed at signup.
  • All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension of access.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Relevant Compliance shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will guarantee compliance with any specific regulatory framework. Achieving and maintaining compliance is ultimately the responsibility of your organization.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. Upon termination, you may request export of your data within 30 days. After that period, we may delete your data in accordance with our retention policies.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
